Now, on to tonight's run.
Guess what, guys....i ran a full 3 miles tonight!!! I realize this is something i probably should have been saying two weeks ago, but it just wasn't the case. But tonight, I was bound and determined to finish and not walk, no matter how out of breath i was. And i did it!!
I had just rounded out my second mile and started to get that little devil on my shoulder saying It's ok to stop and walk, just do it! And i almost listened...but i sent up a silent plea asking for strength...and that's when God showed his sense of humor:
I came to a stop light and it was green for me to go ahead and cross. As i am running half way across, cursing the mile and a half i have to go, the sign started flashing "Don't Walk". I took that as God's sign to keep going. :)
So now that i have crossed that hurdle, there should be no reason why I can't do 3 miles again...at least, that's what i'm hoping for!
My poor feet. #1 thing on my agenda after the half marathon? PEDICURE.
I think by the time i'm through, they might be more gnarly than my boyfriend's!

Melissa, please invest in "running" socks. New balance makes them and of course nike. They aren't cotton so they don't hold moisture against your skin (well not as much as cotton). As a tennis player I swear by them.
Hi Korbin!
I actually do use running and moisture-wicking socks. They do help, but i still get blisters...not sure why?
