Well, i completed Pat's Run!
....along with 28,000 other people!! The race was INSANELY crowded - i felt like i was back at PF Chang's.
I decided to wear last year's shirt because i wasn't thrilled with this year's color (boring white.) Plus, i had signed up to run Pat's last year.....but got laid off the day before and ended up drowning my sorrows in multiple Bud Lights that night. Oops.
Anyways, it was cool to see so many people out for a great cause - but delayed the start time. The race was scheduled to start at 7am, but didn't get going until 7:40.
I was in corral 9 and we weren't even CLOSE to the starting line, when the elite runners were already finishing! It was funny, but also kinda sad. :)
It was also pretty much impossible to find a decent pace while running. I would get in my stride, only to be stonewalled by a group of walkers, or strollers, or people with their dogs. It was frustrating, so i ended up just running the race for fun and not even worrying about how slow i was going.
(My time proved it, too: 55:41.)
One of the coolest parts about the race, you get to run into Sun Devil (ASU) stadium and finish on the 42 yard line. (42 was Pat's number when he played for ASU.)
All in all, a fun race. I do hope they work out a new course next year, as the crowd was just waaaay too much.

My view of the "start" line.

Finishing inside the ASU stadium!
