Well, this week's running wasn't as stellar as i had hoped. I'm still using a walk/jog interval. Some days i feel strong, but other days (like Saturday's run) i feel like i'm starting back at square one. I know practice makes perfect, but it's just frustrating.
I have lost my "groove" with running.
I know i need to keep at it - i feel like i just need a couple good runs to get my confidence back. We'll see how this week goes!
This weekend has been nice & relaxing. I went to Tom's soccer game Friday night, did a (medicore) 3 mile run Saturday morning and then met our friends for yummy Mexican food that night. And then they came back to our place and i made everyone watch the amazing documentary, "The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia."
It's on Netflix instant watch. Go watch it. Now. This family is so insane - you'll never question your own family's sanity again.
I hope everyone who ran the Princess 1/2 Marathon this week did great!! Can't wait to read your recaps. :)

I know what you mean about the groove. One time when I was sick for like two weeks and didn't run, I told my husband I just wasn't going to run anymore because I wasn't feeling it. But I slowly eased back into and I'm glad I did. :) And I heart the Netflix instant watch AND the Disney Princess half!
I know what you mean...I feel like my runs have been blah lately. I took an extra rest day this weekend from it so hopefully that will help me get back into the "groove" too.
Crossing my fingers for you to get your groove back......
I hope you get your groove back soon. I feel like mine is missing right now too.
Today's run was blah :( I hear what you're saying about losing your groove. This winter needs to end! I'll cross my laces and hope you get your groove back if you'll do the same for me!
I love netflix!! Thanks for the recommendation, I'm always looking for good things to watch on there! Sorry your run was just mediocre!
Just stick with it!! And be glad you can run... I'm on strict no running orders from my surgeon. I'd be grateful just to have a mediocre run. And I'm definitely not looking to starting completely over!!
It's frustrating to feel like you are not back at your normal fitness level but you'll get there! Yum, I love Mexican food.
I also have the same problem with running. One day I'll feel like I'm doing awesome, and then the next I feel like I haven't run in months and it sucks.
You will get your groove back. It happens to all of us.
Of course Melissa can get her groove back! And you're still one of my running idols if it makes ya feel any better :). You've done 2 half marathons! That's more running than some people have done their whole lives!
i just found your blog and i LOVE it. i'm just starting running (and blogging) so i'm gettin' connected and finding friends! i'm definitely going to watch that documentary too. : )
