Why, yes - i did just reference Nelly. I am just that cool.
I turned down a Happy Hour tonight to go running. Who am I?! Well, partly due to running. I still have done nothing for my trip tomorrow, so I knew i needed to take care of that instead of partaking in tasty beverages.
So, in the heat of 95 degrees, i went for a 2.5 mile run. Besides sweating out my LIFE, i had a pretty nice run. I did have to stop a couple of times to find some shade and catch my breath. (Yeah, I'm a genius and didn't bring any water with me either. Won't make that mistake again.)
I had all good intentions to run this morning in the cooler temperatures, but when my alarm went off at 6am i said to hell with it. Is it just not in some people's DNA to be a morning person? :P
Do you guys prefer handhelds or hydration belts for your long runs? If i could get away with it, i'd do neither because both kinda bug me!
Off bright & early to Fayetteville, Arkansas tomorrow morning, so i'll see you next week!
Ready for the Weekend and {a Winner!}

Girl, I don't know about hydration belts. But I DO know that I can't properly stalk you if you don't have pictures on your blog. Stressin' me out! : )
well since my long run is a total of 5 miles, I don't think I'm in need of belts just yet :) But I'll get there...right? RIGHT!
turning down happy hour to run? AWESOME!!! I don't think I could turn that down!
Yes, the Hotness is being a little overacheiver this early in summer. It's suppose to cool down today...to a chilly 94 degrees. yippee.
Way to get in a run...even in the heat! Have fun in Fayetteville!
Have fun on your little vacay ... but fuel belts all the way. Don't even feel it when you're running !!!
Have fun !
I definitely prefer my handheld. My hydration belt gets on my nerves!! Much too bouncy against my bod.
Have a fun vacation!!!
I see in your "about me" that you live in Phoenix.. that's some hot weather to have to deal with.
I've been running in the 95 degree weather in South Louisiana these days. It's a bi0tch!
Good job getting out there even in the intense heat! I just got a handheld water bottle by Nathan that you literally stick your hand in. I haven't decided if it makes carrying it any easier or not yet. I can just see myself having some sort of mishap with a hydration belt. Think bottle fly off and I twist my ankle.
I totally feel you on carting around water with you, but it's a necessity out here!!! I picked up an iFitness belt at the last expo, and LOVE IT!! It doesn't slide or creep at all. And then I found these things called Amphipods that clip on to your fitness belt. I got them at REI. I was leary at first because I have a hydration belt that bounces and chafes, but THIS WORKS!!! The bottles lay sideways on your hips, so no bounce!!! Give them a try!!!
