The Good & Bad

First off, the good.

Behold, my best Halloween costume ever:

Jareth, from Labyrinth!

Favorite childhood movie.
Please tell me you all have seen Labyrinth. If not, go to Netflix & watch it on Instant Watch. Like, now.

The Halloween party on Saturday was super fun. Everyone that attends takes the costumes pretty seriously, so it was awesome to see what people came up with. I have three (!) parties this Saturday, so Jareth will be making another appearance. :)

And the bad:

My 10 miler sucked. I think I am getting burnt out. I no longer look forward to my long runs & totally just give up halfway through. If i pull this shit in two weeks, there's no way I'll make my sub3. Sigh.

Odd as it sounds, I think my training plan was too long. I'm just ready to get this over with. One week from this Sunday...

What are you guys going to be for Halloween??

Nope never heard of that movie until now! I'm feeling the same way. At least you made your way outside to do your 10miler. Me? I just sat on my couch all weekend, and didn't even attempt to put on running shorts let alone actually run. You will do great. When the adrenaline gets to going you will be a speed racer and at one with nature. Or something like that hehe. I have complete faith in ya! Eep we're so close!

I had the same issue with my 10 miler this weekend. We wont even talk about it! Thankfully my half is this weekend...Hope I don't suck! ha! My goal is anything less than 2:45:30.

I love Labyrinth! I saw in the theater when it came out. Crap-did I just totally age myself?

I was a little burnt out for a bit, but got my mojo back. You'll get it. Don't worry.

I wish I was dressing up for Halloween, but not this year. No parties for me.

Freaking FANTASTIC!!! I love it, love it, love it!!! Great job. Great costume idea. Great everything.

Well, except for your poopy 10 miler. It'll be ok, I think everyone goes through those burned out phases. I'll send you happy thoughts to get you out of yours.

Amazing costume!

I can relate about the long training plan. It doesn't help that I'm sick 3 weeks out from the half (and super nervous that it's been 12 days of being sick!). But I'm definitely getting antsy to be done. I keep saying I need another race to keep me running, but I'm debating a break after the half. I just don't want to lose all the endurance/progress I've worked so hard for.

People hate me for never seeing that movie. That, and so many more. Thanks for posting the original. Your costume freakin rules. Sorry you had a bad run, that just means you'll have a great race!

Please tell me you have a cod piece for the costume. That would be epic.

LOVE IT! That's one of my favorite movies!! Of course I've seen it!
I have to be a rock or a mineral or some type of sedimentary structure for Halloween. Yup. My geology class is taking a weekend field trip THIS weekend (yes he IS evil for scheduling it on Halloween weekend) and in order to get extra credit, we have to dress up. The things professors make you do these days...
